Breathing: A Tool for Clarity

Do you have a go-to strategy when you find it hard to concentrate and your brain feels fuzzy?

Or when you can’t seem to figure out what to do next, or what direction to move towards?

When I’m in that place, it sometimes feels like I’m spinning in circles, directionless, blind to possibility.

However, when I REMEMBER to use this tool (!), a breathing exercise, it can really make a difference.

Why?

It allows the brain to quiet down.

And our nervous system to relax.

It also oxygenates the body.

And offers a moment to simply pause.

This particular breath is a valuable tool in helping make that shift from CONFUSION to CLARITY.

Why not give it a try?

It doesn’t have to take a long time.

Simply set your timer for 5 minutes OR do the breath for 10 rounds.

After you’ve tried it, touch base with yourself.

How do you feel now? Any different?

Are you more clear? Calm? Centered? Grounded?

Anything else?

Having a variety of breathing exercises in your self-care tool box is a must. They offer an immediate reset - out of anxiety, uncertainty, tension or stress- to a place of grounded-ness, peace, and centeredness from where you can have the clarity and insight you’re looking for. From there, you can move ahead with confidence and certainty.

This breath exercise is a keeper!
