How to Actually Get What You Want

Recently I learned that Wayne Dyer’s #1 choice of book to read was: Feeling is the Secret, by Neville Goddard.

In this book -which you can read for FREE online here, Goddard outlines how to truly succeed and get exactly what you want.

WAHOO!

In a nutshell, he advises that you assume the feeling that would be yours were you already in possession of your objective.”

What does this mean exactly?

Think about how you’ve created goals, resolutions, or even a vision for your future. Typically, it’s done through a list, a set of concrete objectives, or accomplishments:

  • To lose 20 pounds

  • To make $250k

  • To find the perfect ______

That’s all great.

Why?

Because we need to know in a clear way exactly what we want.

AND then we have to access what it feels like / what exactly it would feel like having achieved those goals.

This is the critical piece yet it’s the one we often overlook!

Goddard writes:

“In defining your objective, you must be concerned only with the objective itself. The manner of expression or the difficulties involved are not to be considered by you. To think feelingly on any state impresses it on the subconscious. Therefore, if you dwell on difficulties, barriers or delay, the subconscious, by its very non-selective nature, accepts the feeling of difficulties and obstacles as your request and proceeds to produce them in your outer world.”

In other words, focus on the what (on exactly what you want), don’t worry about the how, and then hone in on the feeling – of living in that new place, of having that new job, of earning that salary, of being in that relationship…

Get the idea?

Try it!

AND if you want to understand this more – which I highly recommend- read more of his book!

It’s incredible! I can see why Wayne Dyer was a fan. I am too!!!!
