A Must Try Anti-Anxiety Tool

I know I’ve written about anxiety before. But let’s be honest. Most everyone experiences it on a daily basis which is why it’s critical to have tools to support you when you do.

And in my desire to always give you tools, here’s another one. ☺️

From Anxiety to Peace

Step 1: Allow yourself to feel the anxiety

Step 2: Name it (“Oh, I’m feeling anxious!”)

Step 3: Ask for help

In this step, naturally you can talk it out with someone.

You can also ask the divine for support.

One way is to say something like: “I’m feeling anxious right now and could really use some help. Can you help me feel held and supported? Can you help me feel more connected to the voice for love?”

Step 4: Allow yourself to tune into that feeling of being supported, cared for and loved.

Step 5: Listen to what that sensation/feeling/voice wants to say

Why? Because love always comes when asked.

“Love always answers being unable to deny a call for help, or not to hear the cries of pain that rise to it from every part of this strange world you made but do not want.” (ACIM T-13.VII.4:2-3)

Step 6: Identify where that voice is within your being.

Yes, it lives in you.

Step 7: Try to actually do- to the best of your ability- what it’s telling you to do. ❤️

The true challenge with doing this exercise has to do with a lack of trust in God.

Because if we really and truly believed God loved us, there would be no problem in asking for help, would there?

So, what do you think? Are you willing to give it a try? Or are you rolling your eyes and deleting the email?

Nothing changes until you do.

Isn’t it worth trying? Just once?
