How To Be a Mystic

I’m pretty hard wired to rush, to move quickly, and make decisions fast.

My mind thinks quickly and my body’s eager to follow along. BUT I don’t want to keep working at that pace! It doesn’t feel good, nor does it help me stay in the flow.

I’m finding that when I stop and center myself and then re-focus, I’m more able to have clarity and see differently.

How about you?

It’s so easy to get caught up in life, in a trajectory of movement, propelling us forward as if life were a race to complete, a journey to a finish line that we’re all hurrying towards.

But what if it wasn’t?

One of my favorite lines in A Course in Miracles is: “enlightenment is but a recognition, not a change at all.”

The first time I heard that it stopped me dead in my tracks.

AND it helped me to ease up on living like my spiritual journey was a destination.

Instead, I began to really understand that it isn’t a place to arrive at, nor is it a state other than who I am or who you are.

It’s truly a decision to reconnect to the truth of who you are, which is God/Love/spirit.

This is the mystical path, being in direct relationship to spirit, connecting directly with the divine.

So why not give it a try?

Here’s an exercise-

If you’re feeling exhausted, drained or overwhelmed, it’s likely an indication that you’re in doing or having mode.

When you’re in doing/having mode, it’s way easier to fall into lack- in whatever way that might look!

SO -rather than berate yourself or judge yourself that you aren’t enough- (working hard enough, talented enough, healthy enough…)- simply bring yourself back to that eternal love and light that is always here for you.

In essence, the invitation is to move from having/doing mode into Being.

Initially, as you move into this space, it may feel hard to access, as if it is dark or even empty.

Think about it as a doorway back into the space of Being.

As you move through that momentary discomfort, you can then open up and reconnect to your light which is the essence of your being, where you realign to spirit and divine source.

Once in this space, allow yourself to feel replenished as you experience peace, wholeness, intuition and guidance.

It’s a re-attunement, a tuning back into the frequency of spirit/love/infinite possibility.

This is how you can feel more connected, supported, guided and held.

Why not give it a try?
